Offer highlights
The programme takes place between February 3rd – June 27th, 2025.
- 29 000 SEK monthly gross salary and a full-time temporary employment
- Working model: On-site at Headquarter in Gothenburg
- 3500 SEK health care allowance per year (to use on wellness activities such as our inhouse gym)
- Visa/work permit support given where necessary
- Costs for flight tickets covered for international moves
- Assistance in finding accommodation for candidates moving to Sweden
Furthermore, the Internship Programme offers common onboarding days, developed business understanding, personal-development opportunities, mentorship, and joint activities with the other students.
What you’ll do
As part of the Volvo Cars Internship programme – Data Science area, you will get the opportunity to work with data analytics and collection, digital workplace products and quality within Data Science as part of our Research & Development organization. You will be part of a team that interacts and collaborates with the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business decisions.
More details on the project that you will be working on as well as the team which you will join will be presented at a possible interview with the potential manager/mentor.
What you’ll bring
To be eligible to apply you must be enrolled at a university and have an ongoing Bachelor (3rd and 4th year) or Master's education during the Internship programme.
For our Data Science positions, we are looking for you with ongoing studies within Data/Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Physics or similar. For one of our positions, we are specifically looking for an Acoustics engineering student who is proficient in data science and programming.
Programming skills in C++ and Python are meritorious, and so is experience from working with UX, AI, Data/insights, machine learning or an interest in CAE simulations.
We believe that you are a great networker and communicator. You are curious, have a positive attitude, and are interested in developing yourself, others, as well as our business.
As we are an international workplace, you must be fluent in English, spoken and written.
The programme is open to applicants from all over the world and we welcome diversity in all aspects. For international applicants you must hold a passport that is valid for at least 6 months after the end of the programme.
Recruitment process
An email confirmation will be sent as soon as you have applied. After application screening, all eligible candidates will be invited to conduct an online assessment. You can apply to several internship programme positions but will only do the assessments once. The last step in the recruitment process is an interview with the hiring manager via Microsoft Teams. Selected candidates for the programme will be informed throughout June.
