Customer Cloud & Data Engineer - Public Sector

At Databricks, we are on a mission to empower our customers to solve the world's toughest data problems by utilizing the Lakehouse platform. As a Customer Data Engineer, you will play a critical role during this customer journey. You will directly work with customers to help them onboard and deploy Databricks in a production environment.

The impact you will have: 

• You will be part of a team responsible for onboarding new customers to the Databricks platform, as well as assisting existing customers to deploy new use cases on the platform.
• You will become an expert on the Databricks platform and guide customers to make the best technical decisions to achieve their goals
• You will actively work across multiple customer onboardings and track and report on their progress.

What we look for:

• Must be a US Citizen
• 3+ years experience in a customer-facing technical role in pre-sales, professional services, consulting or customer success.
• Experience in one or more of the following:
• Data Engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
• Data Science and Machine Learning technologies (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, HPO)
• Data Warehousing (e.g., SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS)
• Solid understanding of the end to end data analytics workflow
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills
• Knowledge of public cloud platforms AWS, Azure or GCP would be a plus
• Nice to have: Databricks Certification

 

 

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Zone 2 Pay Range$77,000—$136,400 USD
