We are seeking to hire a full-time Research Data Analyst to contribute to metabolomics, proteomics, nutritional epidemiology, and chronic disease epidemiology research at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The Research Data Analyst will work on both cohort studies [e.g., Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) study, Chronic Renal Insufficiency Cohort (CRIC) study] and trials [Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH), DASH-Sodium, EAT-Plants].

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Active collaboration with study investigators and study staff.
  • Conduct literature searches and summarize relevant literature with a focus on.
  • nutritional epidemiology, omics, and mechanism of disease.
  • Manage data, including cleaning, restructuring, and merging datasets.
  • Conduct statistical analyses of cohort studies and trials of diet interventions, in collaboration with a biostatistician, programmer, or principal investigator.
  • Assist with the interpretation of statistical results.
  • Contribute to writing of scientific manuscripts for publication.
  • Prepare presentations for disseminating results at seminars and conferences.
  • Participate in regular meetings for the Nutritional Omics Research Group.
  • Store data, code, and other project-related files on shared network drive in accordance.
  • with best practices and policies for data protection.
  • Contribute to project management, including tracking the progress, following up with faculty and staff, and preparing meeting notes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
  • Three years related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in nutritional omics research.
  • Knowledge and experience in nutritional epidemiology.
  • Experience coding in R and/or Stata.
  • Co-author on peer-reviewed publications.

Starting Salary Range: $22.83 - $40.04 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)
