Do you want to drive data-driven transformation? We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to support our global Customer Development (Sales) organization. In this exciting new role, you will be responsible for designing, creating, deploying, and managing Customer Development domain’s data architecture. You will define how the data will be modeled, stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by different data entities and IT systems, as well as any applications using or processing that data. 
 

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with IT, data governance teams, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with the company's data strategy and global business requirements
  • Design and implement robust data storage and retrieval solutions, utilizing tools such as Erwin or ER Studio, to meet organizational needs
  • Manage the integration and ingestion of external data sources, ensuring seamless data flow across various business applications and domains
  • Evaluate and refine database structures by analyzing current data, operational platforms, and applications to optimize performance and scalability
  • Ensure database implementation practices adhere to both internal policies and external regulations, and provide detailed reports on database design and architecture to senior management
  • Lead data migration projects from legacy systems to modern solutions, while continuously seeking opportunities to enhance data processes and systems, and providing comprehensive training to team members

 

What you will need (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role
  • In-depth understanding of database structure principles
  • Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
  • Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Proficiency/expertise in the following technologies
    • SQL and Python
    • Database management systems (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB
    • Cloud services like Google Cloud Platform, Snowflake and SAP
    • Data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, D3.js, and R).
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and good written and verbal communication 
     

What you will need (Preferred)

  • Master’s degree in IT Systems or a related field
  • Certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or TOGAF
  • Business Domain knowledge of Customer Development data (e.g. Pricing, Sell-in, Sell-out, Promotion)
     


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $115,200.00 - $175,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
