Job Description

This internship in a hybrid of remote and in-office. Selected candidate must be available to come into the office 2-3 days a week.

  1. Solution Design and Architecture: Collaborate with the data engineering and software development teams to design and architect digital twin solutions that can be deployed on edge servers. Consider factors such as resource limitations, real-time processing requirements, and scalability.
  2. Real-Time Data Processing: Implement data processing pipelines that can handle real-time data streams from edge devices, preprocess the data, and feed it into the digital twin models for analysis and insights generation.
  3. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance of deployed digital twin solutions on edge servers and identify areas for optimization. Collaborate with the team to improve latency, throughput, and overall system efficiency.
  4. Documentation and Reporting: Document the deployment process, configurations, and optimizations made for future reference. Prepare reports and presentations summarizing the deployment progress and performance.

Qualifications

  1. Education: Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Engineering,  Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Strong Programming Skills: Experience in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java, along with experience in software development and scripting.
  3. Cloud Computing Knowledge: Experience with at least one of the hyperscaler clouds (Azure or AWS)
  4. Data Processing and Analytics: Understanding of data processing techniques and familiarity with data analytics tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop, SQL) for real-time data analysis.
  5. Deployment and Configuration: Understanding of configuring and setting up servers, preferably edge servers, and knowledge of networking concepts.
  6. Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to analyze complex problems, break them down into manageable tasks, and propose innovative solutions for deployment challenges in edge computing.
  7. Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team environment.
  8. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
