Huawei Ireland Research Center will carry out pioneering R&D to lead the Telecom industry transformation towards Digital business, providing Intelligent (AI) systems and services to support such transformation and new business models.

The SNI Lab Digital Twin team’s mission is to define and drive Huawei’s autonomous network and digital transformation. We are offering a research internship position on the network digital twin AI engineer. The work will involve close working relationships with other global teams in Huawei as well as wider industry groups including the Open Source communities and of course, Customers.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will join our team to investigate and perform research work on Network digital twin project. More specifically, you will:

  • Work with our domain experts and other researchers to develop AI models for network digital twin projects
  • Contribute to rapid and iterative development of validated software prototypes based on AI technologies, and benchmark alternative solutions.
  • Conduct technical insights, contribute to strategic planning to maintain Huawei's technological leadership, and propose innovative solutions and ideas for the network digital twin project

Requirements

  • PhD candidate in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning, Statistics. Available work at least 6 month.
  • Strong hands-on experience with language model technology.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Practical skills in the use of machine learning frameworks, i.e., Pytorch.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-tasks environment
