Job Description

To lead Fastmarkets’ pricing operations team in their governance of our all-important data, ensuring the processes and best-in-field database that underpin our strategy are of the highest standard across the business and in the on-boarding of pricing data from acquired companies – and that they are clearly understood, continuously improved upon and adhered to. 

Principal Accountabilities

  • Leads and manages the global pricing operations team, ensuring seamless and uninterrupted availability and support throughout the 24-hour pricing schedule
  • Refines and champions a single set of standardized and centralised processes across the team and the wider business, reducing errors and streamlining workflow.
  • Drives operational efficiency by actively engaging with users, translating their evolving needs into tangible and impactful enhancements in our best-of-breed pricing database
  • Ensures consistent compliance with regulatory oversight by implementing robust control and monitoring procedures.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to continuously improve practices and adapt to evolving compliance requirements.
  • Co-ordinates and implements updates and refinements with our Risk & Compliance team, Development team and editorial directors, ensuring regulatory adherence.
  • Scopes out pricing process at acquired companies; leverages that understanding to help craft operational roadmaps to migrate pricing to our systems
  • Co-leads the integration of acquired pricing data into our database, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to clients
  • Delivers expert guidance on procedural queries, new database features and pricing instrument changes, empowering users and fostering a successful pricing ecosystem.
  • Troubleshoots and prioritises urgent pricing issues, minimizing errors and maintaining data integrity.
  • Captures and analyses insights from pricing operations administrators to identify error sources and proposes actionable solutions, driving the continuous improvement in the quality of our data.
  • Manages UAT testing of our pricing processes and technology, meticulously reporting findings and ensuring thorough quality control.
  • Carries out final approver training for our pricing database; and maintains best-practice guidance, documentation/mapping and support
  • Oversees a centralized pricing calendar and updates to methodology documents, ensuring comprehensive, transparent and up-to-date guidelines for all pricing.

  • You have or will develop expertise in Iosco principles and the audit process alongside knowledge of price reporting
  • You will develop a deep understanding of our database management systems and protocols as well as a broad awareness of the whole of Fastmarkets’ business

KEY INTERFACES

  • Reports to the Global Head of Editorial Operations
  • Leads a team of 5-7 people across multiple locations around the globe
  • Develops and nurtures a robust talent pipeline for critical pricing operations roles through comprehensive appraisals, personalized career development plans and setting individual objectives.
  • Works closely with the Product Development, Compliance and Reporting teams to ensure that all pricing data is processed correctly and in line with our regulatory requirements
  • Collaborates with other teams to create a supportive and learning environment, fostering knowledge sharing and maximizing team performance.
  • Represents team in interdepartmental meetings
