Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an IT Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will be a member of the Department of State (DOS) Consular Affairs Enterprise Infrastructure Operations (CAEIO) Program for the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA). The CAEIO Program provides IT Operations and Maintenance to modernize the legacy networks, applications, and databases supporting CA services globally.

 

A successful IT Business Intelligence Analyst is a self-directed team member who designs, implements, maintains, and supports critical program dashboards and reports with the focus of providing insight to leadership at a high-level supporting operational availability.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create design-focused, executive-level dashboards using data intelligence from multiple tools and sources such as AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk, Zabbix, Power BI, SharePoint, Jira, and/or Datadog.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and improve dashboards, reports, and advanced visualizations for dissemination to diverse, executive audiences.
  • Collaborate with team members from engineering and monitoring teams for the purpose of extracting and collecting data.
  • Participate in user requirements gathering with team members and with the customer. Analyze requirements, interpret data, and recommend solutions for visualizing data.
  • Deliver forward-thinking solutions and transform data to improve business processes and enhance the customer’s ability to accomplish mission initiatives.
  • Create and maintain documentation to track requirements and solutions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of accepted dashboards and reports, and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Monitor data quality to ensure integrity and accuracy and resolve any issues in collaboration with data owners.

 

Core Work Schedule: First Shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM ET - 4:30 PM ET (flexible)

 

Location: This position is hybrid with remote work and up to two days per week in the office in Sterling, VA or Washington, DC.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizenship and an active SECRET Government Security Clearance.
  • Five years of hands-on experience developing and creating reports and dashboards.
  • Experience working with tools such as AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk, Zabbix, Power BI, SharePoint, Jira, and/or Datadog.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows.
  • Excellence customer service skills with follow-through and resolution abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of SPL, SQL, and other query languages.
  • Ability to effectively work independently and as member of a team.
  • Ability to identify and prioritize tasks to complete projects.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, and self-motivated.
  • Practical knowledge of Agile and SaFE Agile practices and ability to work in an Agile environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • CompTIA Security+ or relevant networking industry certifications.
  • Windows/Linux OS and MS SQL/MYSQL/Oracle DB Administration.
  • Experience with technology capabilities market research, technical analysis/review, and recommendation.

Education and Experience Requirements: Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Minimum 16 years with HS diploma.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
