As a Senior ML/NLP Engineer, you will collaborate with a team of 3-4 brilliant and curious people. You will play a key part in enhancing our Natural Language Processing technology ecosystem and get to partner with product, engineering and design to bring new product features to life. You, along with your team, will get to put your stamp on an evolving ML roadmap that will increase value for our Enterprise level customers and their internal users. Requirements

Who You Are:

• You have an advanced familiarity with NLP dataset development, Large Language Model training and inference, and production ML model monitoring
• You use standard data analysis and model development tools, mostly Python, to work with structured and unstructured data, as well as both numeric and text data.
• You are extremely detail-oriented and can produce technical implementations of models, functions, and processes that meet industry best practices and leverage the latest in available technology.
• You provide solid documentation of work, including in-code documentation, internal user guides, and customer-facing blog posts and whitepapers.
• You can create and independently execute on model/feature development plans considering a variety of factors, including cost, platform stability, customer needs and market positioning.
• You’re able to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders, sometimes in non-technical terms.
• You avoid rabbit holes through self-discipline, awareness, and resourcefulness.
• You are an advisor to teammates on quality of code, tests, and documentation
• You are a model for inclusive, transparent communication and collaboration.
• You are comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

What You Bring:

• BA/BS in a field emphasizing mathematics and/or science research. MA / MS / PhD preferred.
• 6+ years of experience using machine learning software and relevant programming languages, such as Python, PyTorch, Pandas and Numpy.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience in natural language processing and machine learning, with 2+ years of experience with training and deploying large language models.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience with databases, such as SQL and NoSQL.
• Experience with productionalizing machine learning solutions into working services, and monitoring production models to ensure ongoing performance.
• Experience working with VMs and/or Docker containers.
• An autonomous, action-oriented, curious and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into a project plan, and execute on the plan with a high level of respect for meeting deadlines.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to work with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Benefits

Compensation: Perceptyx is focused on equitable pay for all our staff and aims for transparency with our pay practices. The salary range for the role is $130,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
