Compensation: $85,000 - $115,000 / year

This position is remote. Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your expertise in programming (Python, R, or similar) to process and analyze large environmental datasets
  • Apply statistical methods to extract meaningful insights from complex data
  • Build predictive models to assess environmental trends and risks
  • Build relational databases using MS Access, SQL or similar
  • Use tools like Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI to streamline data processing
  • Conduct geospatial analysis using tools such as ArcGIS, and EVS
  • Map environmental features, track changes over time, and identify spatial patterns
  • Collaborate with our GIS team to create informative visualizations
  • Create compelling interactive visual representations and dashboards of environmental data
  • Use tools like R, Power BI, Excel, and ArcGIS to convey insights effectively
  • Translate complex data into accessible charts, graphs, and maps
  • Prepare clear and concise reports, summaries, and documentation
  • Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Contribute to scientific publications and grant proposals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher and 5+ years of experience in Environmental Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related environmental field
    • Master’s degree preferred
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, R, etc.) for data analysis
  • Experience with geospatial tools (ArcGIS) and spatial data manipulation
