The Data Product Manager leads the development of data products that drive business value and prioritize user-centric principles. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of accessibility, governance, and data quality while leveraging your expertise in cross-functional collaboration, strategic vision, business acumen, data literacy, and analytical decision-making. Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for data products, aligning them with the company's overall business goals. Champion the values of accessibility, governance, and data quality in product development 
  • Ensure that data products prioritize the needs and experiences of end-users. Foster empathy, gather feedback, and use data insights to drive user-centric product design and decision-making 
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders. Facilitate communication and teamwork to ensure the successful delivery of data products especially during the development of data product requirements 
  • Lead the development of data products with a strong focus on accessibility and governance. Ensure that data products are designed and built to drive deeper access while maintaining security and ethical data practices 
  • Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to maintain data integrity and compliance with data quality standards. Develop and manage data quality initiatives throughout the data product lifecycle 
  • Apply a high level of data literacy to understand the intricacies of data and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical team members. Translate complex data concepts into actionable strategies 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Business, or equivalent) 
  • 5+ years of experience in data-related roles such as data analyst, data scientist, or data engineering 
  • Proven track record in data product management or related positions 
  • Strong data literacy and proficiency in data analysis and interpretation 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders 
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and accessibility principles 
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies 
  • A strategic mindset with a focus on aligning data products with business objectives

Compensation

  • Annual base salary: $115,000-$135,000
  • Target annual bonus percentage: 15%

 

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.

 

Working Conditions:

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
