Quantitative Researcher/Data Scientist

Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Quantitative Researcher/Data Scientist to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, visualizing, analyzing, and researching various sources of data to gain actionable value-adding insights
• Implementing prototype code and models to be implemented in the team’s systems
• Generating automated reports
• Building libraries to support analytics and tools for interactive analysis

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Quantitative Finance, or a related field
• 0-3 years of experience
• Background in probability, statistics, bayesian statistics, time series, optimization and control, classical statistical learning, and machine learning methods
• Experience developing with Python, Jupyter notebooks, common numerical/statistical/data science packages
• Familiarity with Git/Linux/Code review
• Knowledge of financial markets, including futures, fixed income products, central limit order books, financial market players, quantitative trading/portfolio management techniques, and investment theory

Anticipated New York annual base salary range $100,000-175,000, plus eligible for discretionary bonus
