We are looking for a Working Student – Data Science (m/f/d), based in Munich or Frankfurt.

The Impact You Will Have 
You'll support the technical development of client-facing solutions, enhancing our risk assessment capabilities. Your role includes building user interfaces that enable quick and effective decision-making for underwriting and risk engineers. Join us in shaping the future of risk assessment and making a tangible impact in our industry.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• You will support the development of new digital capabilities aligned with Allianz Commercial's strategy, focusing on automation and data science solutions.
• You will identify, acquire, and manage internal/external data to create a centralized data lake.
• You will build and maintain efficient data pipelines to support various analytics solutions.
• You will collaborate closely with project leads and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• You will facilitate cross-training and upskilling of underwriters on new solutions, data, and technology, fostering collaboration and a focus on business value across Allianz Commercial.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• You are Pursuing a Bachelor's/Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a quantitative area, focusing on data – such as Data Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• You have programming skills in Python, PySpark, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• You know Data model design and implementation, as well as engineering principles like test-driven design, automated testing, and clean coding.
• You have experience Working internationally with adaptability across borders; experience in insurance is a plus.
• You possess Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• You demonstrate Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• You can work independently, taking ownership of tasks and projects.
• You speak English fluently.

Further Information:

• Duration at least 6 months (preferably longer) 
• 20 hours/week 
• Enrollment at the university/college is a prerequisite for the duration of employment.
