Summary: The Data Scientist position is a specialized role within BIA Hyderabad. They will focus on applying advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to extract insights from complex data sets and drive data-driven decision-making processes. The Data Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct in-depth analysis, develop predictive models, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance business performance and drive innovation.​

​Roles & Responsibilities

•Conduct analysis and interpretation of complex data sets to derive meaningful insights and recommendations.•Create, oversee and maintain forecasting models and techniques to project sales, demand, and market trends for biopharma products.•Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business problems, goals and KPIs to develop analytical frameworks•Conduct research and collect real-world data from multiple sources to support business strategies and decision-making•Perform statistical analyses, data mining and predictive modelling to uncover trends and correlations•Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement digital analytics initiatives and measurement frameworks to optimize marketing campaigns and customer engagement•Prepare reports, dashboards and presentations to communicate findings, insights and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels of the organization•Collaborate with IT teams to develop and enhance data infrastructure, data pipelines and analytical tools for efficient data collection, processing and analysis•Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies•Provide training, guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and team members when required

​Skills and competencies

•Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions.•Proficiency in statistical analysis techniques, predictive modeling, and forecasting methodologies.•Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.•Solid understanding of digital analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) •Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear manner.•Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations.

Experience

•We welcome candidates with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in technology or engineering. In addition, a strong record of analytic and quantitative work. •Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a similar business analyst role, preferably within the biopharma or pharmaceutical industry.•Experience in working with real-world data (including clinical and healthcare), large datasets, data visualization tools, and statistical software packages (e.g., R, Python, SAS).•Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the biopharma industry.•Experience with real-world data analysis, digital analytics, and market research methodologies.•Certification or training in relevant analytics or business intelligence tools is a plus
