Job Description

• Data Integration:
  • Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines for efficient data integration across various sources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
• Data Modeling and Warehousing:
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of data models and data warehouses.
  • Work on optimizing database performance and ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• ETL Development:
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into the data warehouse.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize ETL workflows for performance and reliability.
• Data Quality and Governance:
  • Implement data quality checks and ensure adherence to data governance policies.
  • Collaborate with data stewards to address data quality issues and maintain data integrity.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Collaborate with the broader technology team to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
• Continuous Learning:
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering.
  • Actively participate in professional development opportunities and training programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Within 1 to 3 years of practical experience in Data Engineering or a related role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and database technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Information

This Junior Data Engineer will work to improve and maintain current data pipelines, ensuring data reliability and quality, combining data from multiple sources to provide readable and usable data. Through development of data ingestions and transformations, the Data Engineer and the team enables data analysts and data scientists to perform modeling and analysis.
