Sr Analyst, Data Analytics - GOSC

Summary of Role:

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will analyze big, complex datasets and provide data driven solutions to our customers. Derive data from multiple sources and provide meaningful insights to leadership and customers by creating visualizations to help decision making. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Extract data from multiple sources, cleanse, transform and load the data into a central repository
• Analyze complex data and derive insights and foresights and present to leadership
• Create various reports, dashboards, and visualizations for design solutions
• Perform various descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analysis
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends, patterns, and relationships in complex data sets
• Identify process improvement opportunities and automate any manual tasks

Must Have Skills: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 6-8 years of experience in the following skills, tools & technologies including but not limited to

• Data cleansing, transformation, validation in Power BI using Power Query and loading the data into a relational database for further processing
• Experience processing large, complex, multidimensional datasets with writing complex SQL queries stored procedures etc., in any relational database environment like Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server etc.
• Translate business requirements into specifications and create interactive dashboards, reports and visualizations using Power BI from potentially multiple data sources
• Data analysis using Microsoft Excel including but not limited to pivot tables, data cleaning and validation, VLOOKUP, text, date & time functions, data visualizations, sorting and filtering etc.
• Understand data modeling concepts and build/update data models
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends, patterns, and relationships in complex data sets using tools like Power BI, SQL etc.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in supply chain, logistics, distribution, or related industry/environment
• Experience in ETL tools like Pentaho, Informatica, SSIS, Talend etc., that includes data ingestion, transformation, cleansing and data loading.
• Experience in advanced analytics and tools like Python, R etc.
• Experience in visualization tools like Tableau.
• Adept at creating presentations and presenting them to stake holders, senior leadership etc.
• Understanding of machine learning, data mining and experience in algorithmic program development and coding.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including communicating effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
