Our Cloud Data Engineering team is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient new grad to join as a Data Scientist. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering and data science teams to develop and deploy data-driven solutions that optimize vehicle performance, enhance user experience, and drive innovation in electric vehicle technology.  Our team operates in an open environment with emphasis on collaboration and cutting-edge technologies. This provides a great chance for new grads to learn and deliver products for Lucid's growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and identify opportunities for leveraging data to solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Design, develop, and implement data pipelines and analytical solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to extract insights from large datasets and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
  • Develop predictive models and algorithms to optimize vehicle performance, energy efficiency, and autonomous driving capabilities.
  • Build and maintain scalable machine learning models for real-time data processing and decision-making in automotive systems.
  • Work closely with software engineers to integrate machine learning algorithms into production systems and ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the performance of machine learning models through experimentation and iteration.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in cloud technologies, data science, and machine learning techniques

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.  March & May/June 2024 graduates will be given advanced consideration.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, with experience in developing and deploying machine learning models.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and experience with cloud-based data services (e.g., S3, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Hadoop is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.   Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
