Job Description

Role Description: 

As the Manager of Business Intelligence at 10 Minute School, you will lead the BI team, managing all data initiatives critical to the organization's growth and efficiency. Your role encompasses overseeing data analysis, visualization, and reporting, ensuring actionable insights for data-driven decision-making. You'll also train and mentor junior data analysts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to strategic projects. Your expertise in BI tools, SQL, and data analytics, combined with strong communication skills, will be pivotal in steering the company's success in building the education stack of Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify key growth, strategic, and optimization opportunities through data and communicate findings to business teams.

• Manage and train a team of junior data analysts

• Own & manage the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards.

• Work with large datasets on data extraction, cleaning, analysis, visualization, and presentation.

• Enable data-driven decision-making by identifying, structuring, and executing product and performance analyses.

• Build cross-functional partnerships with the product, marketing, sales, and engineering teams to drive key business decisions.

• Design, perform and analyze A/B tests with Growth team

• Empower teams with actionable insights, and reduce the number of business decisions made without data

• Conduct training sessions on data analytics for other teams in the company

Qualifications

Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent practical experience in a related field

• 4-5 years of relevant analytics experience

• Experience with working on large data sets is a plus

• Experience with managing a team of data analysts

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of statistics (e.g., A/B testing, hypothesis testing, time series forecasting, etc.)

• Strong proficiency in BI data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Google Data Studio)

• Strong proficiency in SQL and comfort querying large datasets.

• Strong proficiency in spreadsheet tools (e.g. Google Sheets or Excel)

• Excellent stakeholder management skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to tell stories with data, and deliver data-driven insights to different types of audiences.

What will make you stand out

• Proficiency with Python or R for data analytics (e.g. pandas, matplotlib, dplyr)

• A good understanding of the EdTech market, specifically in the context of Bangladesh

• Previous startup experience
