We are building an insurance expert base in your location and need curious, research-driven and self-starting individuals. Our industry is undergoing a technology-led transformation, and our teams are vital partners to insurers in helping them plan for success.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical and business savvy, excels at research, spreadsheets and diving into financial statements for some of the world's largest companies. The candidate is able to independently manage priorities and multitask, and can partner with key decision makers to drive to successful outcomes.
Using knowledge of financials and the insurance industry your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Financial research, claim/policy research, market research, and content creation around all of the research. You will partner with cross-functional teams including Customer Success Managers, Sales, Product and the rest of the Research and Analysis team to align and understand where our market is going and why.
You will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data, providing valuable insights and supporting informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytics systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks
  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets
  • Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasets
  • Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data
  • Work directly with managers and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships
  • Creation of and training of LLMs to help generate financial/qualitative analysis for internal and external consumption.

Requirements

  • Experience mining data as a data analyst
  • Proven analytical skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization
  • Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
  • Strong SQL or Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tools, strong understanding of financial terms, valuations, balance sheet, etc
  • Ability to understand insurance terms and financials across a variety of geographies and put those into global context
  • Proficient in building financial models
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate and express views and opinions clearly and definitively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy and diligence in ensuring high quality research output.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, data/analytics, mathematics, computer science, economics, or statistics w/ data development skills
