DATA ANALYST ENGINEER

 


Responsabilies:

 

•    Manages data from different sources leveraging close collaboration with operations and engineering:
o    Data sourcing
o    Data consistency check vs actual operations
o    Data output management
•    Helps develop reports and analysis after different functions’ requests;
•    Manages and designs the reporting environment, supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization;
•    Generates basic reports from single or multiple systems;
•    Helps troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports;
•    Evaluates changes, updates and improvements to data source and reports;
•    Provides training end-users on new reports and dashboards;
•    With support of data, monitors and detects the operational flows, the relative productivity and the KPIs of the warehouse;
•    Analyzes the KPI of the automation installations, collaborating with the automation engineers to ensure an efficient utilization in the global process;
•    Supports the Engineering Manager, Warehouse Manager and Operations Manager in daily activity, analyzing data and processes, trying to improve flows and carrying out follow-up on production;
•    Supports colleagues who deal with the administration for active and passive billing, budget creation and income statement;
•    Develops implementation projects for internal process improvement and elaborate specific analyzes, based on needs, coordinating with Business Unit Program Manager, KPI and continuous improvement manager and Solution Design department;
•    Interfaces with the ICT department for software changes;
•    Interfaces with the customer in periodic meetings, to analyze problems and propose solutions.
 


Requirements:

 

•    Degree in statistical sciences, or in Management, Logistics or Mathematical Engineering;
•    Italian mother language, fluency in English oral and written;
•    Ability to understand operational processes and link them with relevant data.
•    Ability to analyze and synthesize, good communication and relational skills, problem solving, flexibility.
•    Ability to identify and quantify improvements and changes in the operational processes, with the support of data
•    Ability to analyze existing tools and databases to propose new/updates solutions.
•    Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms and vice-versa.
•    Passion for data and technology.
•    Understanding of automatic material handling equipment technologies
•    Excellent knowledge of the Office Package and PowerBI tools;
•    Experience of at least 2 years in the role within companies in the logistics and transport sector;
•    Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
