We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the area of Generative AI research and development. We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled intern to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge Generative AI solutions. As a Generative AI Intern, you will work closely with our team of experts to design, implement, and refine various aspects of generative models, including model distillation, multi-modality, and embedding generation.
What awaits you?
- Assist in the research and development of generative models, focusing on creating efficient and effective AI solutions.
- Participate in the implementation and optimization of model distillation techniques to reduce the size and computational requirements of large generative models without compromising performance.
- Contribute to the development of multi-modal large language models that can process and generate information across different data types, such as text, images, and audio.
- Work on embedding generation tasks, ensuring the quality and usability of embeddings for various downstream AI applications.
- Collaborate with the team to test and evaluate different foundation or generative models, analyze results, and iterate on model design to improve outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in generative AI and machine learning research to inform development strategies.
- Document the development process, results, and insights to facilitate knowledge sharing and project continuity.
What should you bring along?
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and programming languages (e.g., Python).
- Basic understanding of generative models or experience with any LLM models, such as BERT, LLaMA, or autoregressive models.
- Eagerness to learn about model distillation, multi-modality, and embedding techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
