We are looking to hire a Data Analyst highly skilled in data management, external sourcing, advanced queries, analysis and presentation to internal audiences. Our cloud platform provides registration services with capture of company and messaging campaign information, with high demands for quality control, availability and information security. The Data Analyst will be responsible for consistency and accuracy of data, analysis and planning, and the the full range of internal and external reporting, using Alteryx, Tableau and similar tools. It is critical for the Data Analyst to be highly analytical and agile with a passion for success and ability to bring business acumen to the role. While being part of a very large, global enterprise, we are a young, very fast moving company with a startup culture. The right candidate will be ambitious. willing and able to take responsibility, in a very demanding environment.

Ideally looking for remote candidates, preferably on the US East Coast, for ad-hoc in-person work in TCR offices in McLean, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize processes for data capture, validation and mining, as well as modeling, visualization and communication deliverables.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights for data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements.
  • Perform data cleansing and validation to ensure data accuracy and quality.
  • Oversee the ad-hoc data requests with prioritization and tracking.
  • Define, develop and implement a wide range of operational procedures for delivery of ad-hoc and scheduled reports.
  • Build and maintain data catalog and/or Data Dictionary to support data discovery and governance.
  • Build and maintain data visualizations, dashboards and reporting solutions using Tableau for effective communication of findings.
  • Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting for internal and external customers.
  • Maintain a secure environment, consistent with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in advanced quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, data management, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in Data Analytics roles, with hands-on experience and in-depth understanding of data analysis, data visualization, data cleansing, and development of dashboards and reports.
  • Knowledge of data mining principles with data collection and mapping from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high quality output, including effective visuals.
  • SQL skills, and ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries.
  • Experience with data engineering and ability to navigate new data sources.
  • Experience with common security practices for storing and exchange of business information.
  • Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.
  • Good communication skills, orally and written.
  • Ability to work independently as part of a small, high-energy, fast moving startup environment.
  • Preference for candidate with experience in subscription services in the technology sector.
