Solution Specialist, Cloud Analytics and DataOps

About the role and team:
 
Our team brings data-based vision into the development of the OP group's Developer Experience. In this team you leave a lasting imprint on software development culture and product development at OP for years to come. 
 
In your day-to-day work, you will collaborate with Product Owners, other Solution Specialists, Tech Leads, Developers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions. Your focus will be developing and refining functional requirements specification for engineering data platform.

Your work involves various kinds of tasks, ranging from deep focus solution planning to hands-on workshopping together with stakeholders as well as lots of cooperation with different teams and developing solutions together. This requires you to navigate and constantly adapt and improve your approach in face of changes to platform environment and requirements.

Together we are chasing the dream of better Developer experience at OP. Everyone in the team has various levels of experience and varying skills and we value that diversity and difference of perspectives. We work in a co-operative fashion led by the Product Owner, and decisions are made together with team members truly having an impact on the direction of the product. The team works in hybrid fashion.
 

What do we wish from you? 
  
We hope you have a developer mindset, and you are interested in understanding both technical and business requirements of engineering data contributors and mapping those into engineering data platform. You are interested in understanding the needs of engineering data customers and how they would utilize the data, so that the team can model and extract the data from various sources and build analytics based on that data. You can recognize existing or missing capabilities to ensure the best possible solution for building up great Developer Experience.  
 
You have the capability and enthusiasm to collaborate actively with Product Owners and Developers and dig deep into process details and requirements turning those details into features and solutions to be developed that from a cohesive whole. Sometimes tasks require quick resolution and decisions to get the job done in timely manner to meet the demand of our platform customers. Even in these cases we appreciate calm and systematic demeanor and approach to your work to guide our team towards optimal solutions.  
 
We are looking for a person that does not seek quick wins but takes on complex challenges and turns them into long-term solutions. You are a team player and support others also to strive for the best. We expect good interpersonal skills, and you are not afraid to pick up the phone to solve problems quickly. Contacting other people to find information and solve details is something you are good at. 
 
You are customer focused, open-ended solution builder with a service-oriented mindset. You can facilitate and workshop viable solutions with the development team and stakeholders. You are not afraid to speak out your mind and challenge requirements coming from the business in a constructive manner when you see room for improvement.
 
You have knowledge and understanding of agile software development in general. To be successful in this role, you should already be equipped with hands-on requirements of engineering and solution specification experience and prior experience with following technologies and patterns or similar alternatives: 

•    Understanding of complex software system(s), processes and related needs. 
•    Ability to form clear and effective requirements satisfying business needs.
•    Experience of working in data driven organizations and corresponding leadership practices.
•    Basic understanding about DevOps way of working, basic proficiency with programming languages needed for data engineering.
•    Knowledge about cloud-based development e.g., Azure or AWS.
•    Experience with SQL and databases.
•    Analytics- and reporting tools such as Power BI platform is a plus.
