Senior Data Scientist

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000

Location: Sheffield HQ / Hybrid / Remote

As a Senior Data Scientist with a track record of using data to drive commercial value add, you will be a pivotal part of our dynamic team of 20+ data professionals, helping to unlock the full potential of our extensive datasets.

Here's a glimpse at what You'll be doing:

As a Senior Data Scientist, your impact will be felt immediately across our product teams, sending ripples of innovation and improvement through our entire customer experience. You will be the go-to data expert tasked with supporting one or more of the many business areas in Twinkl; including areas such as search & recommendations, pricing, payments, marketing and production.

You will use your extensive skills in visualisations, in depth data analysis, machine learning techniques, statistical analyses, and problem solving in order to take the lead in transforming raw data into actionable insights.

Here are just some of our data projects within Twinkl you could be working on:

- Improving the ranking of our search results

- Determining optimal pricing models across our different markets

- Creating a personalised, data-driven payment retake system

- Supporting our production teams using the latest development in generative AI technology

Requirements

We look for the following skills and experience, but if you don’t have some of the skills and experience listed below, don’t let that stop you from applying!

We are looking for someone who:

- Shares our passion for Twinkl’s mission.

- Substantive commercial experience of working as a data scientist

- Strong Python & SQL skills

- Experience with visualisation software (e.g. Tableau or PowerBI)

- Considerable demonstrable experience of adding value through data driven insights

- Experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions

- Can communicate effectively with stakeholders of all levels, including at an executive level

- Strong commercial mindset
