Role Overview

We are expanding our reach and seeking a visionary Lead Data Engineer to spearhead our data engineering efforts, driving innovation and growth. With a passion for data-driven decision-making, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of banking for millions.

Roles and responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of leading teams.
• Exceptional SQL writing skills, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in multiple databases, particularly MS SQL Server and Google BigQuery.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Go, Python, Java, and Scala.
• Strong data modelling skills, with experience managing data structures using the Kimball approach and Data Vault methodologies.
• Familiarity with data integration tools like SSIS, ADF, dbt Cloud, Dataform and Airbyte.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and optimize data systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
