The Senior AI Engineer is responsible for the design, deployment and maintenance of robust, secure, and scalable AI systems, facilitating seamless integration with the broader Alpheya's platform. It has overall responsibilities for setting technical standards, choosing appropriate technologies, and ensuring the timely delivery and ongoing management of AI-driven solutions.​

• Design the overall AI technological architecture in collaboration with stakeholders, in particular tech, to ensure AI vision and developments align within Alpheya’s broader tech strategy ​
• Thought partner to product owners to align the roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the technical stack​
• Collaborate with data scientists and data engineers to build and deploy machine learning models efficiently and effectively.​
• Lead building/provisioning AI technology infra to support developing, deploying, serving complex AI/ML models (containerization, AI microservices)​
• Design and implement frameworks to automate model development (training, testing, validation), and deployment​
• Manage and monitor ML models in production, including performance tuning, versioning, and updating models as needed​
• Guide AI team on technology strategy related to AI modeling, coding practices, test-driven development, continuous integration and automated deployment​
• Mentor and coach the AI team, specifically with code reviews​
• Is the leader for the AI team's ML and LLMOPs engineers, Python Software Engineer, Data Engineers (Extraction)

Requirements

• Expertise at developing and scaling high-quality AI platforms and systems including cloud-native solutions for containerization, orchestration, observability ​
• Proficient in software development  (deep Python expertise is required), and software development practices including test-driven development, CI/CD frameworks ​
• Applied expertise in deploying MLOps (and LLMOps) best practice to support complex AI/ML systems in production​
• Good knowledge of modern AI/ML/stats methodologies/concepts: GenAI, LLMs, natural language processing, machine learning. supervised learning, deep learning​
• Experience at operating in cross-functional product teams, including third parties/consultants including coaching teams​
