About The Role & Team

The Data Management team's mission is to give customers discoverable, understandable, and secure data they can trust.  As a member of the Data Management team, you will own features around different aspects of customers' data including planning and instrumentation, discoverability and usage, clean up, enrichment, monitoring, and privacy/access.  Amplitude does this by providing an expansive set of data tools, providing timely recommendations for keeping data clean using our AI Data Assistant,  and automating these data governance jobs for customers.

The team is fast moving and you will be expected to iterate quickly and own, drive and achieve cross-team alignment on technical design tradeoffs for the short, medium and long term. 

 As a Product Engineer II, you will: 

  • Lead projects, from ideation and implementation, through to launch.
  • Operate with a focus on rapid but sustainable delivery through proper sequencing and experimentation
  • Work with with Product Management and Design to turn novel ideas for solving customer problems into engineering solutions
  • Maintain an eye toward a high quality product experience supported by sound engineering decisions
  • Contribute to the technical direction of the team, product, and systems
  • Contribute to engineering discussions and engineering best practices
  • Actively participate in design and code reviews

You'll be a great addition to the team if you:

  • 3+ years of experience developing interactive, user-facing applications and websites
  • Comprehensive frontend experience with React and Typescript/Javascript
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • Can synthesize customer input into scalable engineering solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to changing requirements
  • Constant desire to learn and grow in the field of web development
  • Have familiarity with the following: (Python, Javascript, Typescript, Node.js)

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $148,000 - $223,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in California outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. California salary range: $134,000 - $201,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)
