Within this framework, we are looking for an agile and highly-motivated “Research Engineer in Energy Systems & Software” to join a team of future shapers.

The successful candidates will be based in our headquarters in Athens.

The candidate will work in the field of Smart Energy technologies, supporting the R&D team in developing innovative solutions flexibility in the domain, and addressing the needs of System Operators, Energy Retailers and other stakeholders. As a research engineer, the candidate will work in a small group while being versatile and independent and will tackle innovative research projects funded by the European Commission and national research frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of software solutions for multi-vector energy systems addressing topics on energy management, energy efficiency, energy planning, end-user engagement, flexibility management, data sharing;
  • Technical reporting and delivery of technical presentations, effectively communicating technical specifications and novel concepts;
  • Collaboration with multi-disciplinary research groups in the context of collaborative research and innovation projects

Requirements

  • BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering or other related discipline
  • Proven working experience in software design and development (Python and/or Java)
  • Experience in research and innovation projects (e.g. under Horizon EU framework) in the energy domain
  • Postgraduate Qualifications (MSc, PHD) in relevant domain will be considered a strong asset
  • Excellent use of English language
  • Fulfilled military obligations, where applicable
