Job Summary
Responsible for transforming large, complex data into consumable business databases and applications for self-service analytics and reporting. Create system architecture, design and specification using in- depth engineering skills and knowledge to solve difficult development problems and achieve engineering goals. Determine and source appropriate data for a given analysis. Work with data modelers/analysts to understand the business problems they are trying to solve then create or augment data assets to feed their analysis. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.Job Description

About the Team / Role:
As a member of the Network Performance & Experience Insights team, the Data Analytics Engineer will be responsible for understanding network based customer insights / behaviors and Quality of Experience (QoE) of their internet service. The candidate should be able to be proactive and flexible as the business need arises and work efficiently to create structured processes with data integrity and validation in mind. They should understand Machine Learning concepts with also interest in Artificial Intelligence.
What You’ll Do:
- Support Business by analyzing demand trends, identifying data problems, and generating executive reporting
- Implement Machine Learning models to Support Network QoE initiatives to find data problems proactively from analyzing trends and detecting anomalies
- Enable and create dashboards to present material for self-service interaction for internal customers
- Automate data pipelines to ensure consistent / accurate delivery of data to multiple internal customers
- Engage with Strategy teams responsible for creating new products within TPX and Comcast
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For:
- 2-3 years of understanding relevant network data preferred
- Proficient in SQL or similar query languages (MySQL, Vertica, Postgres, etc.)
- Proficient in Python or similar language for data mining / analysis (pandas)
- Machine Learning basics: sklearn, matplotlib, pickle, hyperopt
- Databricks preferred
- Knowledgeable in ETL techniques, validations
- Experienced in data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Comfortable with big data applications/automation
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated initiative to build relationships both internally and externally with minimal supervision/direction from management

Education
