Data Engineering & Analytics practice enables Data Analytics driven culture across the organization. It’s a fast-growing practice which has functions like Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Visualization, Data COE & ML Engineering. This team works across all phases of data lifecycle.

About the role:

We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing Data Engineering and Analytics Practice. You will be based in our offices in Madrid and working part-time remotely as part of our ‘flex together’ approach. We are in a cloud transformation process, and we need you! This exciting role will offer a host of development opportunities as part of a growing global business.

 

Day to Day You’ll Be: 

• Passion for technology in the field of data engineering and analytics

• Design, build, test and deploy cutting edge big data solutions at scale

• Extract, clean, transform, and analyze vast amounts of raw data from various Data Sources

• Build data pipelines and API integrations with various internal systems

• Improving and maintaining our data ware house.

• Experience on data migration from our local DB to cloud (GCP).

• Work across all stages of data Lifecycle

• Implement best practices across all data analytics processes

• Estimate effort, identify risks and plan execution

• Proactively monitor, identify, and escalate issues or root causes of systemic issues

• Enable data scientists, business and product partners to fully leverage our platform

• Data governance best practices

• International collaboration, mainly with UK and US.

• Good analytical & problem-solving skills

• Good communication and presentation skills

• Good English communication skills

Impact You'll Make:

 Essential Skills & Experience:  ​

• Extensive experience in Big Data technologies such as Hive, Spark and Hadoop.

• Big Data Technologies – SQL, Python, Oracle DB, PySpark, Pandas, Jupyter , Airflow, Talend, Jenkins

• Experience in Google Cloud Platform: dataproc, bigquery, cloud storage, dataflow

• Experience in Python programming language

• Experience in Oracle DB experience

• Experience in cloud database migration

• R-studio experience is an advantage

• Graph database experience is an advantage
