What awaits you?
 

  • Join our perception team to industrialize sophisticated low-level perception algorithms for our next generation of advanced driver assistance systems.
  • At the BMW autonomous driving campus, we are continuously developing cutting-edge functions for our self-driving car technology.
  • You will contribute your ideas and knowledge in designing and implementing solutions for storage, retrieval, and analysis of vehicle sensor data for the purpose of scaling the training of machine learning models.
  • In your daily work, you will find yourself in an international and interdisciplinary environment.
  • Our campus offers the infrastructure you need to work productively with large amounts of data and focus on the software for the automobile of the future.

 

What you should bring along?
 

  • University degree (master or PhD) in computer science or a related subject.
  • More than 6 years of industrial experience in software development using Python, experience with C++, Scala and Rust is a plus.
  • Expert knowledge and proven industrial experience in designing cloud-solutions (especially AWS) incl. MLOps, CICD, Infrastructure as code.
  • Expert knowledge with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience in designing ETL Pipelines using big data technologies (e.g. Spark).
  • Expert knowledge of machine learning techniques and frameworks, with a focus on deep neural networks and supervised learning applied to perception functions.
  • Experience in sensor data processing (Radar, LiDAR, Camera, IMU), computer vision, calibration and sensor fusion is a plus.
