Senior Data Scientist

Gram Games is the studio behind some of the most popular mobile titles in the world like Merge Dragons!, Merge Magic!, 1010!, and we have more exciting projects in the pipeline. As our project portfolio is growing, we now are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join us at Gram Games, Istanbul Studio.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will fulfill a cross-functional role, building and sustaining a robust data culture across the company. Utilizing your in-depth understanding of statistics, management of our data flow, game monetization models/KPIs, and a variety of technical tools, you will work with everyone, from game designers and developers to game artists and marketing gurus, to ensure that data is at the center of everything they do.

You'll be joining an accomplished team of game and marketing analysts, as well as game developers and designers, who have a real passion for data-informed decisions. In this role, you would be the forward-thinking authority that brings together our dynamic skills and perspectives for even better games, and better player experiences.

Requirements

Technically, we are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who: 

• has a bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• is highly skilled in SQL and comfortable using either R or Python in their day-to-day work.
• has at least 3+ years of experience with transforming large amounts of raw data into actionable intelligence critical to business decisions.
• has at least 3+ years of experience in quantitative analytics or data modeling.
• has experience working in the gaming industry, particularly with casual free-to-play mobile games
• demonstrates knowledge of predictive modeling, machine learning, clustering, classification techniques, and algorithms.
• understands the distinction between correlation and causation, can identify and manage biases in data, and understands the implications of sample size on the interpretation of results.
• has extensive experience in A/B testing processes 
• possesses a background in hands-on statistical analysis and is familiar with core statistical techniques.
• has experience using and creating dashboards with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Sisense, Looker, etc.
• has a passion for video games and an understanding of the mobile free-to-play games industry
• possesses excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

It would be great if you also had…

• ...a MSc or Ph.D. in the relevant field
• ...5+ years of experience in data analytics, especially in big data environments.
