Big Data Developer

We currently have a vacancy position for a Big Data Developer, to join our expanding development teams. The work will be carried out at the Company’s premises in Athens and/or remotely. In the context of this assignment, the successful candidate will cooperate with the software implementation and maintenance teams of the company, and engage in new development projects as well as supporting activities of existing systems.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

• The Big Data Developer will design and implement solutions for big data processing. The implementation technologies are Java/Python.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of Java and SQL;
• Good understanding of big data technologies (Apache Spark, Hadoop);
• Experience in Linux and Bash scripting/commands;
• Team player;
• Fluency in verbal and written English.

Desired Qualifications:

• Demonstrable knowledge of Git;
• Practical experience in big data technologies (Apache Spark, Hadoop);
• Experience with Cloud Services (Azure, GCP, AWS).
