Celtra is expanding the Data Insights team in Ljubljana, Slovenia with a Data Scientist, who will play the central role in enabling data-driven decisions across all levels of our global company.

About the role

You will have access to billions of data points and the chance to partner with senior leaders within our organization as well as Engineers and other Data Insights colleagues and shape the next generation of our digital advertising software. 

You will be moving fast with the company strategy and become the advisor on the core Celtra product, involving regular communication with executives and managers while offering the opportunity to directly impact the product strategy and to further scale your responsibilities. 

 Responsibilities

  • Gain an understanding of business & product challenges and leverage existing data by providing relevant insights, reports, and dashboards.
  • Shape meaningful research questions on product value & usage, and extract actionable insights from diverse sources of data. 
  • Deliver insights to enhance our business performance by conducting advanced analytics on our existing data (segmentation, predictive modeling, multivariate statistics, simulations, complex event processing, etc.). 
  • Secure availability of relevant data, standard data definitions, and data quality. 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, focused on product analytics or product management/design, translating data into KPIs and recommendations.
  • Degree in data or computer science, business, management, statistics, engineering, or other related fields.
  • Experience using statistical computer languages (Python, R, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets, preferably in a business environment.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
  • Strong acumen for understanding business and going beyond the obvious.
  • Ability to set and manage priorities and expectations for individual responsibilities and tasks.
  • Communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
  • Can work in a fast-changing and challenging environment, team player, motivated, proactive, and pragmatic with a can-do attitude.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • As this position is opened in the LJU office (Slovenia) and we are hiring on a permanent employment contract, you need to fulfil legal requirements to be able to work in Slovenia (non-EU citizens need Slovene working permit, and both non-EU and EU citizens need residence permit).
