Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Logistics Process and Data Analyst to support a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Headquarters client. Successful LMI Logistics Process and Data Analyst demonstrate competency in analyzing existing client processes, procedures and methods to identify improvement areas. This position is currently 100 percent telework.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include: 

  • Providing support, analysis, and research into complex problems, and processes relating to the logistics supply, with minimal direction. 
  • Support planning and executing Business Process Changes as the DEDSO pivots to a different model of collaboration and support for the DoD Components.  
  • Program support for the internal DEDSO process improvement and efforts to adopt new technology tools such as ServiceNow. 
  • Support DEDSO efforts to update standard operating procedures 
  • Support execution of the Defense Logistics Manual (DLM) evolution into a new format. 
  • Collect business and data requirements related to DoD Logistics functions. 
  • Perform data analysis, of existing approved logistic process changes and conduct analysis of implementation status across the Services and Components. 
  • Use Microsoft (MS) Excel to create prototype quick tools to display to data previously published in manuals. (implememtation chart for dates, systems impacted) 
  • Communicate with clients through written reports, briefings, and oral presentations 
  • Draft and edit Proposed Changes throughout its lifecycle with a focus in technical writing.  

Qualifications

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university. 
    • 10 years of experience in understanding of DoD supply and logistics 
    • Proven experience researching and analyzing data, and strong communication skills, both oral and written to communicate with stakeholders. 
    • Familiarity with ServiceNow 
    • Secret Clearance (must be a US Citizen) 
    • Strong understanding of MS Office 
    • Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities. 

     

    • Desired Qualifications: 
    • Experience with DOD Distribution Depot operations, procedures, and supporting automated information systems. 
    • Knowledge of DOD Materiel and Inventory Management, DoD Maintenance Management, DoD Financial Management and USTRANSCOM operations, procedures, and supporting automated information systems.  
    • Experience in one or more of the following standards and technologies desired: Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) X12, Business Enterprise Architecture, Data dictionaries, Data warehousing, Enterprise application integration, Metadata registry, Master Data Management (MDM), Relational Databases, Semantics, data retention, XML, including schema definitions (XSD) and transformations. 
    • Knowledge of DOD/Component policies, business procedures, business rules, data standards and transaction standards (both DLMS and legacy formats) in support of Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP), Military Standard Transaction Reporting and Accountability Procedures (MILSTRAP), Military Standard Billing System (MILSBILLS), Supply Discrepancy Reporting (SDR) and Web SDR, DOD Activity Address Directory (DODAAD)/ Military Assistance Program Address Directory (MAPAD), Logistics Metrics Analysis Reporting System (LMARS), Physical Inventory and transaction standards in support of seamless integration with the supply/logistics domain.
