Meet Gorgias, the customer service platform designed for ecommerce merchants, and built to provide amazing experience to shoppers at scale on Shopify, BigCommerce, and Magento. Our product empowers merchants to manage all their customer service in one place over email, live chat, voice, Facebook, Instagram, and SMS.

Everything we do is for our customers, and we’re currently serving over 12,000+ ecommerce merchants, including : Steve Madden, Timbuk2, Decathlon, and Sports Illustrated. They love us for our innovative product, our focus on their ecommerce needs, and, of course, our lightning-fast customer service response time.

We raised $25 million in our Series B round in December 2020 and $30 million in our Series C round in 2022. We more than doubled in size in every meaningful way: annual recurring revenue, the size of our customer base, and the size of our Gorgias team, for starters.

About the Team

Our Data Analytics team is a cross-functional team that works hand-in-hand with all of the other teams at Gorgias (Marketing, Partnerships, Sales, Success, Support, Product and Engineering).

Our core mission is to maximize Gorgias’s impact by empowering our stakeholders to make data-backed decisions by providing them with accurate data & assisting them in driving insights.

The team itself is composed of two main sub-teams:

  • Business Intelligence: partners with the rest of the company by providing ROI driven insights and recommendations, and by giving them the data resources needed to achieve goals. The team consists of 8 members, specializing in two key areas of expertise: product analytics, and holistic business insights.

  • Analytics Engineering: responsible for the management and maintenance of the Data Platform, including all data pipelines and assets. Their primary goal is to ensure that accurate and easily accessible data is provided at scale to end users.

About the Role

You will join our Business Intelligence team and become a strategic data partner & advisor for our leadership team, mostly working on cross-functional Go-To-Market and Finance topics.

Your mission will be to unlock and maximize new opportunities as well as solve cross-functional challenges, by delivering ROI-driven analyses and recommendations that will have a long-term impact on the business and influence our roadmap 🔥

You will be joining Sol (based in Toronto), our team expert on GTM and Finance topics, while the rest on the team is mostly focused on product-oriented initiatives. There’s plenty of business challenges to resolve, data insights to provide to drive more revenue, come join the team as a key internal data consultant for Gorgias! 🚀

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner and help solve key challenges for all Go-To-Market motions such as attribution & channel performance, ARR prediction & forecast, funnel analysis, etc.

  • Measure ROI on GTM investments & initiatives and give proactive insights on growth and potential risks based on business trends (ex: health of leads pipeline, funnel challenges, improving close rate, etc) and communicate them back to the executive team.

    • In Toronto, you will be working closely with 2 members of the exec team: our CMO and our CRO.

  • Identify levers of growth and retention for our customer base through experimentation, descriptive statistics and predictive models.

  • Further GTM’s understanding of levers that deliver business outcomes through thought leadership, new measurement solutions (ex: Marketing Mix Modeling) and identification of leading indicators through correlation analysis.

  • Define, standardize and communicate key GTM metrics (e.g. LTV) across the Go-To-Market & Finance teams to ensure alignment of business objectives and ****business performance monitoring.

  • Maintain & improve a shared source of truth data foundation & reporting to answer strategic and tactical business questions in an efficient and scalable way.

Who You Are

  • You have 4+ years of hands-on experience working with data.

  • You have previous B2B/SaaS or consulting experience.

  • You are very data-driven, with strong problem-solving skills: you have experience analyzing complex, large-scale data sets to make decisions based on data.

  • You are proficient in SQL and have technical experience with analytical & visualization tools like Periscope, Tableau or similar.

  • You are comfortable in dynamic & fast-moving work environment and able to switch gears as necessary.

  • You are resilient to stress and strive for excellence: things can move fast and we have ambitious goals for the next 4 years 😄

  • You have strong synthesis and communication skills: cross-team communication is at least as important as analytical skills as you’ll often partner with less technical teams to transform insights into action items 🤝

  • You are autonomous and have a growth mindset: you proactively evaluate your own performance and actively seek opportunities to develop your skills 🚀

  • Knowledge of dbt is a plus.

  • Knowledge of A/B testing / experimentation is a plus.
