Senior Data Engineer - Marketing Platform

Hybrid role based in our Cardiff office 2 days a week.

Confused.com is the UK’s first comparison platform for car insurance. We’ve been helping customers since 2002 by empowering them to make better decisions around insurance and financial services. We’re part of RVU - a global group of online brands (including Uswitch and Money.co.uk) that work to empower consumers. We do this by helping people compare home services, insurance, and other financial products.

About the role

We are on the lookout for a versatile T-shaped engineer to join our dynamic Marketing Platform team. This distinctive role demands a comprehensive understanding as a data engineer. Data is crucial to the marketing and advertising spend of Confused.com; our engineers work on data products, data pipelines, and integrations with popular advertising platforms (such as Google and Microsoft) to drive marketing efficiencies and improve ROIs.

Responsibilities include designing, constructing, and managing data pipelines, with proficiency in Python, SQL, and Cloud platforms.

What you'll bring to the role

• Python
• SQL
• Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Experience with; distributed frameworks and event-driven architecture (preferred)
