Data Analyst

TEAMThe Business Analytics team is responsible for Woven by Toyota’s data-driven culture! The data and analytics delivered by the team acts as key inputs to help the company act on its mission to redefine mobility, and continue to improve the company's metabolic rate. In parallel to providing insights, the team maintains a modern data platform that not only modernises the developer experience but is looking at new ways users can ingest and consume data. With a strong commitment to automation, the team is always looking at optimising internal processes and delivering more value to our customers.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FORAn Analyst that is passionate about understanding and solving business problems with data, evangelising the use of data and building a data-driven culture across Woven. Successful candidates establish relationships with business partners, dives deep to understand business problems, designs metrics to track performance, analyses data from all angles and designs reports with UX in mind. We value creative and positive team members with a helpful attitude and a customer-centric working style. You will be reporting to Head of Business Analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business pain points and translate them into requirements.
• Develop, implement and maintain metrics and automated reporting to communicate insight to stakeholders and improve business operations.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to set up data pipelines (to retrieve, aggregate and model data from multiple sources) and robust business logic tests.
• Maintain a comprehensive data catalog, documenting the available datasets, their sources, and their usage within the organization.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide recommendations based on data analysis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or any quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a business analyst/data analyst/statistical analyst role.
• Experience using data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Looker) for effective data presentation.
• Experience using SQL extensively for querying and analyzing data.
• Experience with a programming language or scripting language  (Python or R).
• Advanced-level English proficiency

NICE TO HAVES

• Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling for analytics
• Track record of owning the development of several reports on Power BI
• Experience with Linux
• Experience with Software Development best practices (version control, code review, CI/CD pipelines, test-driven development, codebase documentation).
• Experience with security and privacy best practices for analytics and reporting.
• Experience with machine learning especially with time series forecasting in a business context.
• Japanese language proficiency
