Data Analytics Engineer Intern

As part of the Bureau of Technology, you will join the Analytics experience team which serves to support and empower every backmaker that wants to do analytics, from the business stakeholder to the developer (without missing our dear analysts).

Your mission (If You Accept It):

• Design and implement an open data catalog using the OpenMetaData tool.
• Manage data pipelines and assets generated by different frameworks (e.g., Spark, Pandas) and stored in various locations (S3, Kafka, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Ensure consistency in metadata standards for data transformation jobs and generated data assets to establish clear data lineage and dataset information.
• Address key questions related to data: Where does the data originate? Which data pipeline generated it? Who is the owner of the data?
• Develop a platform that enables efficient tracking of metadata and inspection of data lineage for better transparency and understanding.
• Identify and implement a use case to test and validate the functionality and effectiveness of the platform.
• Aim to host the solution on our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) account.

You’re at the right place if :

• Mandatory! : Currently enrolled in your last year of an Engineering School/University (Master’s degree).
• Previous experience in Computer Sciences or Data Engineering
• GCP knowledge would be a strong point
• Knowledge of metadata is a plus
• You have worked on infra topics/projets
• Ability to learn quickly, being curious about the environment you’ll evolve in
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to work in an international environment
• You are fluent in English

About the internship :

• Ideal starting date is April/May 2024
• Duration : 5 to 6 months
• Full-time role (35h/week)
• Location : Paris or Bordeaux
• Contract : You can have an internship agreement provided by your French current school.
