Position Summary
The Data Infrastructure Architect is responsible for architecting, implementing, supporting, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise data management applications, infrastructure, and systems with a focus on operational excellence and efficiency as follows: - Architect Data Management Solutions: Design and develop scalable, robust, and high-performance enterprise data architecture and systems that support NYU IT Enterprise Data Management Services. - Implement Enterprise Data Systems: Lead the technical deployment of new data management applications and infrastructure. Manage the administration, installation, and configuration of enterprise data management platforms and systems. - Support and Maintenance Data Environments: Provide ongoing support for data management systems and resolve any issues that arise. Monitor system performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure reliability. Update systems to incorporate new features and maintain security standards. - Optimizing for Efficiency: Continuously evaluate and optimize data management processes and systems for improved performance and efficiency. - Operational Excellence: Ensure that data management application and system practices align with the organization's goals for operational excellence.
Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related fieldPreferred Education:Master's Degree Computer Science or related fieldRequired Experience:10+ years design, architecture, and systems operations experience in a large enterprise data management organization. 10+ years experience working with analytics and data warehousing-related systems, technologies, solutions, and applications. Extensive experience with large enterprise Oracle and Snowflake systems. Extensive experience with large enterprise analytics system deployments. Experience with Peoplesoft Campus Solutions and Finance domains. Extensive experience with various enterprise data integration applications such as DataStage, WhereScape, and DataBricks. Extensive experience managing and supporting Linux-based Data Management systems. 5+ years experience working to design, build, optimize, deploy, and support data management solutions within the AWS ecosystem.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Expert knowledge of AWS-related technologies - Snowflake/Oracle - Oracle Business Intelligence OBIEE/Tableau - Data Warehousing domain knowledge - Middleware Experience(Oracle Fusion Middleware, Weblogic, Tomcat, Websphere) - Scripting Experience (Shell scripting, Python, Java) - Experience monitoring (Nagios, Splunk, Uptrends) - Domain knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials/ Campus SolutionsPreferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:- DevOps/CI-CD (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Gitlab, Github, Ansible) - Data Testing Tools (DataGaps) - OAC (Oracle Analytics/OCI Cloud) - Data Warehouse Automation (WhereScape) - Other DB Technologies (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Singlestore/Memsql) - Data Virtualization (Data Virtuality, Denodo)
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $130,000.00 to USD $170,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
