Role background

Wolt is a technology company that makes it incredibly easy to discover and get the best restaurants, grocery stores and other local shops delivered to your home or to the office. Our local commerce platform makes it easy for customers to order whatever they need on one app, for merchants to make additional sales, and for couriers to make meaningful earnings flexibly. Wolt was founded in 2014 and joined forces with DoorDash in 2022. Together, Wolt and DoorDash operate in 27 countries today, serving more than 45 million customers.

When it comes to Sustainability, our mission has always been to make cities better places to live, and that means taking care of our impact on the environment, on the local economy and also on the people we touch. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a heavy pipeline development and data analysis background to not only work their analytics “muscle” but also grow their knowledge about ESG metrics, and have a crucial impact on our decision-making.

What you’ll be doing: 

As part of a small but mighty team of 5, you’ll play a crucial role in helping to drive our sustainability strategy forward! While this role will report to the sustainability team directly, you’ll be part of the broader Data analytics network and will be responsible for: 

• Working “hand in glove” with the global analytics team to understand the key linkages between our broader sustainability goals and our existing global datasets

• Building data pipelines and dashboards to help our local operations make data driven decisions to meet their sustainability targets

• Using quantitative analysis to review and validate different sustainability initiatives and the presentation of data 

• Looking beyond the numbers to understand what drives our business; review and ideate new ways to help us improve

• Supporting the development of new business cases for innovative sustainability initiatives 

This is a new and rather unique role at Wolt where we are looking for someone who is highly analytical and has previous experience working with SQL and building pipelines, as well as working with one of the data visualizations tools to develop relevant and user friendly dashboards for a variety of stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or related quantitative role 

• Proficiency in SQL 

• Exposure to building intuitive data visualizations and dashboards that influence business decisions, utilizing tools like Tableau, Mixpanel, Looker, or similar.

• Innate curiosity to understand how things work and a first-principles approach to problem solving

• Clear and concise communication with strong cross-functional partnership experience

• Strong interest in making impact in sustainability domain
