About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Analyst with a specialization in automation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SQL and Python, with a strong background in data extraction, manipulation, and automation projects. The role involves working with various business units, utilizing tools such as Looker, Qliksense, and PowerBI to create insightful dashboards. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for setting up Airflow Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) to streamline and automate complex data workflows.

The position will be based at our Athens office.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Data Extraction and Manipulation:
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data from diverse sources.
  • Use Python scripting for data manipulation, cleaning, and transformation tasks.

2. Automation Projects:

  • Spearhead automation initiatives to enhance data processes and workflows.
  • Implement and maintain automated solutions to streamline repetitive tasks.

3. Dashboard Creation:

  • Utilize visualization tools such as Looker, Qliksense, and PowerBI to create informative and user-friendly dashboards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into actionable insights.

4. Airflow DAG Setup:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Airflow Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) to orchestrate and automate data workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of DAGs with various requirements.

5. Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough testing of automated solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Implement monitoring mechanisms to identify and address any issues promptly.

6. Documentation:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all automated processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, with a focus on automation projects.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, manipulation, and automation.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Looker, Qlik Sense, Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools, specifically Airflow.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Project management and Databricks experience a plus. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Github/Bitbucket).
  • Experience in ETL processes and tools.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
