Customer Data Analyst

We are looking for a Customer Data Analyst to join our Sales and Customer Success teams who support ASAPP’s mission of empowering, inspiring, and transforming enterprises and their customer experience teams with unparalleled AI services and applications that automate workflows and make people radically more productive.
Working closely with our Customer Success Managers and Strategists, the Analyst will help improve the performance of existing customers and expand ASAPP’s customers by providing data-driven solutions to real world problems. The primary responsibilities of the role will include compiling recurring reporting deliverables, fulfilling ad hoc data requests, and assisting in custom analyses.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has strong technical skills and the drive to own the end-to-end completion of various data-related projects (including writing queries, designing dashboards, building slide decks and troubleshooting) with minimal supervision.

What you’ll do:

• Compile recurring external updates containing performance summaries and data visualizations
• Complete ad hoc analyses, identifying root causes for changes in performance and providing recommendations for improvement
• Write custom SQL queries to fulfill data requests for both internal and external stakeholders
• Optimize existing data-related processes and identify improvement opportunities to increase speed and impact of insights
• Occasionally assist in troubleshooting and debugging data related issues across ASAPP teams (Data Engineering, Product, Technical Services, and Data Science)

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of experience manipulating and analyzing large data sets 
• Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to write new queries and interpret existing queries
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Sisense, RStudio, Tableau, etc.) and an ability to create simple yet impactful data visualizations from complex data sets
• Familiarity with database systems and data warehousing concepts
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to complete tasks quickly while maintaining high quality standards

What we’d like to see:

• Experience working with Python or R
• Previous experience working at an AI or technology startup
• Previous experience working in the  CX and/or contact center industry
• Experience working with Google Docs Editor Suite (Google Docs, Slides, Sheets)
• Customer-facing experience is a plus but not required for this role
