As part of the Data & Analytics team, you’ll use your skills to help us understand what’s working for our customers, what’s not, and what we need to do next to improve our products and growour business.
Working as an Analytics Engineer, you will provide reliable, accurate & quality data sets to the Analytics team, as well as model data in a way that facilitates and makes the work of the data analysts more efficient and empowers end users to answer their own questions.

What you'll do

  • Deliver clean, transformed, tested, documented, and code-reviewed data sets to be consumed by the Internal analytics team and SMEs in the business.
  • Apply software engineering best practices to clean data sets from the data warehouse to end users (for example: version control, testing, continuous integration & documentation)
  • Use SQL and Python for efficient data loading and transformation.
  • Manage and optimise data infrastructure at scale (Fivetran, Redshift, dbt, Hightouch).
  • Create and maintain documentation of data models and data pipelines.
  • Develop scalable frameworks for data ingestion, data transformation processes and data modelling standards across data analytics team
  • Work closely with the Data Engineers and Software Engineers to ensure the correct ingestion of new product feature data
  • Aggregate, and integrate data from a variety of sources
  • Help shape our analytics engineering practices, ensuring reproducibility, observability and quality control.
  • Contribute to fostering an open, positive atmosphere within the team, promoting collaboration, learning, and growth.

What you'll need

  • Experience with cloud-based technologies Redshift, dbt or equivalent.
  • Advanced SQL - comfortable with window functions and CTEs
  • Python coding and data modelling skills ((Kimball, Vault, etc).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Curiosity and self-drive to continuously learn new techniques and tools to extract value from data.
  • High level of comfort with ambiguity and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment in which you rapidly adapt and learn for any given business problem

  • Nice to have
  • Familiarity with a wide set of data warehousing principles, including architecture, methodologies, schemas, performance/optimization principles, and best practices.
  • Intellectual curiosity and an understanding of what drives customer outcomes and has a positive impact on the business
  • Experience with designing and creating data models in SaaS industry using Star Schema or Data Vault.
  • Experience working with event-oriented data sets of large size and diverse schemas.
