Requirements

Power BI Consultant

Location: Home Based with some travel to Sussex and Civica offices

Permanent

Skills: Power BI, DAX, ETL development, Data Modelling, Azure cloud , MS SQL
Applicants will ideally hold SC Clearance but it will be essential to gain SC so 5 years UK residency is essential

Our clients are looking to their data for the insight they need to reduce costs and to improve outcomes. As a result, demand for our Power BI skills is growing and we’re looking to recruit more consultants in this area.

The Business Intelligence and Analytics team is part of our Consultancy Services Group, which has over 65 practitioners. The group helps clients with all aspects Digital Transformation from developing their digital and data strategies, through designing and implementing data-centric solutions to supporting business change.

Key Responsibilities for the BI & Analytics Consultant role

·         Work independently or as part of a team to translate business needs into the design of solution architectures for client Microsoft Power BI solutions

·         Design and develop Proof-of-Concept solutions for clients

·         Design and develop production ready solutions for clients

·         Prepare and give client specific training course for end users

·         Provide technical leadership for Microsoft BI/Analytics teams, defining standards and practices

·         Assist with estimating and planning for projects and bids

·         Participate in business development providing technical input and meeting with clients to secure new business

Essential Skills

·         Microsoft Power BI

·         Reporting, Dashboards and OLAP : Microsoft Power BI, SSAS, MDX, SSRS, and Power Pivot

·         ETL, Data Quality and Integration : Microsoft SSIS, Data Quality Services, ETL Architecture

·         Database Management Systems : SQL Server

·         Dimensional Data modelling for data warehouses, data marts and other analytical stores

·         Experience of complex integration issues and technologies

Desirable Skills

·         Microsoft Azure Intelligence and Analytics: HD Insight, Data Factory, Data Lake Store and Analytics

·         Master Data Management technologies and solutions

·         On premise, hybrid, cloud based business solutions

·         Advanced Analytics and Data Mining : R Services

·         Experience of SDLC processes and methodologies, including Agile delivery

Experience of working with Central or Local Government organisations would be beneficial.

You will also need 5 years UK residency.
