The Gig

The Squarespace Marketing Data team provides technical data solutions, statistical models and core metrics to power marketing and company-wide decisions that maximize customer growth.

You will develop business models, apply statistical techniques, design experiments, and communicate insights that are necessary to Squarespace Marketing efforts. You will report to the Manager of Marketing Data Science.

All Squarespace employees are working remotely at this time. We are closely monitoring the status of COVID-19 as we continue our work to build a return-to-work plan that ensures a safe return to our offices and provides flexibility for our employees.

You'll Get To…

• Partner with Analysts, Engineers and decision makers to provide data solutions and insights
• Translate questions and pain points into solution requirements
• Design and upgrade statistical or ML models to understand and predict consumer behavior; for example, marketing attribution, customer lifetime value or sales forecasts
• Form new hypotheses and design methods to validate them
• Build reliable and maintainable pipelines to support analysis and models. Identify new data sources
• Promote adoption of analytic frameworks, tools, and best practices to other data practitioners

Who We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in a technical data role; or a quantitatively focused PhD
• Fluent with a scripting language (Python/R), familiar with SQL
• Experience developing statistical or ML models that had an impact on the business
• Experience designing and interpreting experiments and assessing causal impact even when randomized control is not possible
• Experience automating delivery of data or model results
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical partners
• Outcomes-oriented and passionate about supporting data-driven decisions
