Senior Data Architect

The essence of the role

We think you are a battle proven data architect with a track record of designing and building instrumental data solutions on large data sets.  At Sinch we believe that our data platform shall democratize access and enable autonomous development of data driven product features across our global development teams

Our Engineering team owning our global data platform is based in Malmö/Stockholm Sweden but for the right candidate this can be a remote position, preferably in EU time zones. As our Senior Data Architect, you bring knowledge from previous similar positions working in the data area. 

As our new Data Architect you will:

• Be responsible both working hands-on as well as working with stakeholders designing end-to-end services that spans from dashboard, data warehouse, data lake, real-time decisioning, financial analytics, ETLs pipelining data to various downstream systems
• Typically interact  with Product Managers, Enterprise Architects, Engineering Directors, System Architects, Tech Leads, M&A companies and Machine Learning leads working with enabling data too come alive
• Be a key player in enabling Sinch to draw customer insights based on 200 billion+ consumers platform interactions per year
• Analyze, define, and propose our future Data Architecture, and work together with stakeholders and engineers to validate that Architecture and collaborate in creating a path to get there from the current architecture
  
• Work with our M&A strategy to further enabling our platform to integrate other companies which is a key part of the role

Your ability to reason from first principles, document and explain complex solutions makes it easier for business stakeholders and engineers to understand and take actions. In order to contribute to this role, you have:

• First-hand knowledge and experience from design, implementation and establishing OLTP, OLAP, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes and Data Marts, and near-realtime streaming for large scale businesses
• Track record of delivering instrumental value and impact to companies in senior data roles with solutions
• Hands-on designing data-solutions using AWS Cloud services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue)
• Hands-on experience in database systems and data storage (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, Presto, BigQuery, NoSQL)
• Hands-on experience with near-realtime streaming solutions (e.g. Kafka)
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
