We are creating a new research team within the product organisation. As a spin off of our data team, the team will be focussed on making every decision for Spendesk’s product the best possible. The variety of missions is wide and ranges from strategic insights to support of product managers on their operational endeavours.In a context of creating a new acquisition model through our product (product-led growth) we need advanced insights into our users, customers and prospects to drive this new growth engine in collaboration with other core product, engineering or go-to-market teams.
You mission will be to analyse and provide insights into a wide variety of data sets to provide answers to our most critical questions and serve the mission of the team. We’re looking for an experienced profile to work with 3 other research data analysts and 2 qualitative researchers. You will report to our lead data analyst.You will also have the support of a wider data community composed of analytics engineers, machine learning engineers and data engineers.The role is best suited for a full stack data analyst (from data prep to predictive modelling) who is driven by impact of insights on the business rather than engineering systems.

Detailed missions:

  • Advise product stakeholders on their decisions by identifying and exploring opportunities, defining key success metrics, inferring & measuring initiatives' impact
  • Generate insights on our users, customers and prospects to inform and steer Spendesk’s strategy
  • Collect the right data sets & and create models to support your analyses and empower a decentralised data-informed decision-making
  • Leverage insights to fuel Spendesk’s growth model and influence investment choices
  • Perform data discoveries to inform product developments specs
  • Track, monitor, and create KPIs and reports to measure satisfaction and engagement with our products and features
  • Create predictive scores for our customers, prospects and users along their journey
  • Contribute to develop a strong data-informed decision-making culture

Ideally you will have:

  • minimum of 2-3 years of experience in data analytics
  • excellent level in SQL and at least one other programming language (Python/R etc.)
  • background in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics… or the equivalent work experience
  • experience with statistical modelling
  • great Business-sense, can easily make connections between different topics and picture impact of decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to influence product roadmaps and business decisions with data
  • strong communication: can easily explain what they do and why, like to share insights with others, conveys opinions with a positive “strong opinions, weakly held” mentality
  • product culture, has worked with squads, understands product challenges
  • first principle thinker
