Job Description

NuvoLogic Consulting is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. The Machine Learning Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining machine learning models and algorithms. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Business Analysts, to design and build scalable machine learning solutions that drive data insights and business outcomes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Collaborate with Data Scientists and Software Engineers to identify business problems and develop machine learning solutions.
  • Design, build, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms.
  • Conduct data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model tuning.
  • Implement scalable and efficient data pipelines for model training and evaluation.
  • Work with cloud computing platforms to deploy and monitor machine learning solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret and communicate model outputs and recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and data engineering.
  • Document and maintain code, models, and processes.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in machine learning, such as Python or R.
  • Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with data preprocessing, data visualization, and data quality assurance
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with big data technologies is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the finance or mortgage finance industry.
  • Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related field.
  • Experience with deep learning models and algorithms.
  • Publication record in machine learning or related field.
  • Familiarity and hands-on experience with data sources from Internal Revenue Service, Securities and Exchange Commission, and Bureau Van Dijk
  • Familiarity and hands-on experience with the following technologies R Shiny, RStudio, Jupyter, and/or VSCode
