Samsung SDS America is looking for a Senior Data Architect with a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in big data analytics and cloud technologies. Successful candidate should have a deep understanding of data architecture and be proficient in designing and implementing cloud-based analytics solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build scalable, secure, and high-performing analytics systems on cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

·       Design robust cloud-based analytics solutions using Databricks, Snowflake, and other relevant technologies

·       Experience creating Data & Analytics Proof of Concepts (PoC), Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) that lead to production deployments

·       Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient cloud-based analytics architectures

·       Lead and guide the development and implementation of analytics projects

·       Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies for the analytics practice

·       Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate analytics solutions into the data ecosystem

·       Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop analytics strategies

·       Optimize the performance of analytics solutions for scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

·       Conduct regular assessments of existing architectures for improvements

·       Implement and enforce security best practices for analytics solutions on the cloud

·       Create comprehensive documentation for analytics architectures and best practices

·       Provide technical guidance and support to the team in implementing cloud analytics solutions.

·       Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud analytics technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience with enterprise data management and architecture with software development background
  • Extensive experience with cloud analytics platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Strong knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks, such as Hadoop, Spark, or Apache Kafka
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes
  • Strong understanding of data security and compliance standards
  • Experience working directly with stakeholders with different levels of technical understanding
  • Understanding of AI/ML platforms and data requirements for AI/ML models development
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Experience in the healthcare or financial services industry is a plus
